This shows the superiority of 'Heat' over 'Casino' where audiences were disappointed by this follow up to 'Heat'. In 'Casino', De Niro reunites with Joe Pesci who continues to play unsavoury characters and gets his comeuppance at the end. De Niro manages to escape death when his specially built car informs him that his car is going to explode, and escapes within an inch of his life.
