| Description: | Four Friends start to receive morbid valentine day cards. Someone out there is stalking them....someone they all spurned when they were younger. And Valentines Day 2001 is the Day she/he gets their revenge. | Comments: | In a boring prologue a kid at his junior high prom is humiliated by five girls and sent to juvenile hall. 13 years later the girls, one by one, are stalked by a killer wearing a cherub mask. Is it him? Who cares? How this got greenlighted is beyond me. It's basically a lousy copy of all those c**p slasher movies of the 1980s. You would think in the wake of movies like "Scream" filmmakers would try something new. Sadly not. The plot is old (this has been done hundreds of times--a masked killer stalking women--ho original!), it's suspenseless and the acting--wellllllll. David Boreanaz is very good as an ex of one of the girls, but he's wasted in a minor role. Everyone else is bad--and I mean EVERYONE! Even Denise Richards (who can be amusing) sucks. The worst thing about this movie is that it's too timid. There's no nudity (even though there are plenty of chances) and the murders are very tame--a little blood and that's about it. If you're going to do a stupid slasher film at least give us gore! Also logic disappears frequently (one woman running from the killer has two choices...a door leading outside, one leading to a sauna. Guess which one she picks? The sauna!!!!), and the ending is screamingly obvious. DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!! It's an insult to horror fans (like myself) and everybody else will be bored. You end up rooting for the killer! Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
