Description: | A detective (James Spader) tracking a serial killer (Keanu Reeves) gives up all hope of solving the crimes and moves to another city... | Comments: | After about five minutes into this movie I thought "here we go again". Yes, this is yet another serial killer movie : where the cops arrive too late to save the victim, constant (we've heard before) music (ala "Psycho") and supposedly "Hip/mood enhancing" songs by bands like Sneaker Pimps. This is a good example of a painted by numbers movie. Characters we don't care about : a one-dimensional villain (Reeves), a beautiful victim (Tomei - she's not very attractive here) and an F.B.I. agent (Spader). Worse is the continuous use of annoying video and home-movie photography to give the movie an arty feel. Sorry but it doesn't work. The main reason "The Watcher" could be recommended is that it's so derivative of other movies that the viewer will feel comfortable following the plot and predicting its outcome. | Languages: | English | Subtitles: | Length: | 97 | Video format: | Audio format: | Resolution: | Files sizes: | 915 |
